Jim Sperry

Jim Sperry, MS, BCBA is the president of the NEEDS Center. Jim is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and has a BA in Psychology from Stonehill College, and a MS in Counseling and Psychological Services from Salem State University. Jim has worked in the field of developmental disabilities for the past 22 years. During this time, he has had positions of increasing responsibility with Vinfen Corporation, The Massachusetts Department of Developmental Disabilities, The May Institute, AMEGO Inc., and as an independent consultant. Jim has overseen and implemented in-home supports for children with autism and other developmental disabilities, developed and opened dozens of group residences for individuals with developmental disabilities, specializing in providing services and supports to individuals with extreme challenging behavior. He has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of individuals with developmental disabilities. Jim has published several scholarly articles on services for individuals with developmental disabilities and has served as Treasurer for The Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy (BABAT) since 1997. BABAT is the largest ABA affiliate in Massachusetts with over 900 members. Jim has primarily managed services in Massachusetts, and has also operated services in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Florida. One of Jim’s demonstrated strengths has been the ability to develop new business for each agency that he has been employed by.
